Today 12th June 2019 would have been John Wetton’s 70th Birthday. In celebration of this, the John Wetton Estate announce the title of a career-spanning box set – An Extraordinary Life – that they have been putting together for some time.
American RnB group Shalamar, who had numerous hit singles in the seventies and eighties, release GOLD – a career spanning 3CD on 19th July. Hits include: I Can Make You Feel Good and Night To Remember.
On June 28th guitar legend Hank Marvin will release a career spanning 3CD set as part of Crimson Records’ successful Gold series. Hank is joined on this collection by guest appearances from amongst others, Cliff Richard and Brian May.
King Crimson celebrate their 50th Anniversary this year.
As part of the celebrations they will perform 3 shows at the Royal Albert Hall on 18th, 19th and 20th June.

THE MOODY BLUES’ JOHN LODGE: TO HEADLINE BIRMINGHAM NIGHT OF STARS CHARITY SHOW With his SOLO 10,000 LIGHT YEARS TOUR ON 11TH APRIL
John Lodge will now headline the Birmingham Night of Stars Charity Event at the Symphony Hall on Thursday 11th April in aid of the Birmingham Children’s Hospital and other charities. His 10,000 Light Years Tour starts on 9th April at the wonderful Trading Boundaries in East Sussex.
Robert Fripp will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of King Crimson with a one-day event, by invitation only – in London on 6th April. Fripp will host this special event, making a presentation and answering questions during the day. There will also be exclusive clips from the forthcoming King Crimson documentary and a presentation about other plans for the 50th Anniversary.
The Black Country’s Rebecca Downes releases her third album – More Sinner Than Saint on 24th May.
The album was mixed by Chris Childs (Thunder) and Bill Drescher (Rick Springfield & The Bangles) and takes her music into a rockier sound than previously. It features guest guitars from
Alan Nimmo (King King) and Magnums Tony Clarkin.
