Oh! So Comedy

Launches At

The Midnight Lounge

Tuesday 8th December

The new Oh! So Comedy evenings are set to commence on Tuesday 8th December to shine a little light into the darkness of the winter that is 2020-2021. Based at The Midnight Lounge, 5 Brewer Street in the heart of Soho, Oh! So Comedy brings together some of the capital’s finest stand-up comedians for a night of food, drink and laughter.

Your host for the evening is Greg Faulkner, well known for his mix of satire, sarcasm and impressions. He was resident MC at The famous Comedy Cafe Theatre in London and has MC’d for them in Oslo, Norway, as well as gigging at clubs around the UK.

Oh! So Comedy will showcase the talents of Prince Abdi, the country’s leading Somali comic. His television credits include BBC Three’s The Laughter Shock, Comedy Central’s The World Stands Up, Channel 4 Presents and ITV’s FHM Stand Up Hero. A former Your Comedy Star at the Edinburgh Fringe, Prince Abdi will have you in fits with his observations of life from Somalia to Brixton and all points in between.

Joe Bor “is a must see,” says Alan Carr of this award-winning comedian and formerly video creative for Buzzfeed. Joe has extensive experience working in the television, internet and advertising industries with a range of TV companies including BBC, ITV, Hattrick, Talkback and Rough Cut.

Opening the show is actor, comic, writer and lovable cockney geezer Lenny Sherman. Lenny’s acting credits include Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Channel 4 satirical comedy Ministry of Justice and as Alex in BBC’s EastEnders. In the world of stand-up he is a comedy circuit veteran with more than eight years of experience performing gigs for Off The Kerb, Downstairs At The Kings Head, Glee and comedy clubs all over the country.

So now is the time to forget all about all that 2020 has served up so far! Oh! So Comedy will be open at The Midnight Lounge, 5 Brewer Street, W1F 0SR, from 5pm to 10pm on Thursdays from 17th December.
